Can all members (both new and old) please prepare their posts with care, preferably in MS Word and then spell check them before posting them on the forum.

There have recently been some poorly worded and even more poorly spelled messages. Also please check that information provided is accurate and relevant to the thread.

It might also be worth sticking to stating facts rather than expressing personal opinions when replying to posts.

We are not all perfect by any means, but please make an effort.

Is that your opinion or part of the quote?

If you are trying to make a point regarding my message about spelling etc. please check yours

incluide?

The whole point of my message was to hopefully remind people to stay on the thread and not to go off on a tangent, i.e. to think before you post.

it was the dictionary definition copied and pasted hence why i included the link... as i have been taught to reference anything that i write that is not mine....

PEOPLE make spelling mistakes all the time... this is not school

i think you are being rather unfair.....

not everyone has the time to spell check their words.... many people have better things to be doing

as long as the message is clear and understandable... whats the problem.....

and as for staying on the topic...... i've never read a thread that hasn't

slight over reaction mr xxxxxxxx

If you haven't got time to spell check, why do you spend time venting your spleen over such minor concerns.

This is a small forum, which represents Newark Canoe Club and therefore reflects on our membership. As it is accessible by outsiders, I and many others in the club feel that we should set an example and not resort the mindless gibberish as experienced on many other forums.

If you feel that this is such a chore, you are free to abstain.

Thanks for that, we do try, and we can always go back and make corrections.

At least I know you will be keeping me on my toes, which in turn improves the standard of the forum.
